More than 100 lbs., this has been a lifesaver!

Back in July of 2012 I found out that I was diabetic. Probably no surprise because I was tipping the scale at a very unhealthy 340 lbs. (at my heaviest). Considering the number of medications I was prescribed and the years of frustration of being that heavy, I decided to make a change. Because of a bad reaction to some of the medications (and really, the sheer number of pills!), I decided that I just DID NOT want to HAVE TO do that EVERY DAY for the rest of my life. Also hearing my doctor say something like, "you're significantly impacting the quality of your life by continuing to carry around that much unhealthy weight" was very sobering. I immediately began managing what I ate and walking. For the diabetes, I also cut out almost ALL sugar. I started losing weight immediately, however I wasn't really tracking it on a routine basis.
In September of that year, I came across the first version of this scale. I was instantly drawn to it, as it provides a lot of information to someone who likes a lot of information! I began weighing myself every morning (it's what works best for me). Using the app and being able to actually SEE my progress in numbers and colors and graphs motivated me even more. Knowing how muscle mass, water weight, and body fat factor into my weight helps me understand how and what I need to do to manage it more effectively.
I now weigh about 225 lbs!!! As a 6'3" tall guy, I feel it looks good on me! I'm still heading toward a slightly lower number. But again, knowing from the scale that my muscle mass is increasing, my body fat range is significantly lower and good for my age (I'll be 53 in Feb.), and that I'm getting a good amount of water each day MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE in how I interpret my weight.
I am quick to tell anyone (even when I see people looking at scales in the store - yep, I'm that guy), YOU HAVE TO GET THIS! I'm really not one to get too SUPER excited about things, but I am about this. Honestly, I don't believe I would have been, and continue to be, as successful in managing my weight as I have been without using the scale.
I've recently replaced the first scale(it's been good luck for me; so am putting it in another bathroom because I can't part with it!) with the updated scale. Very nice upgrade! I love the backlit info panel. I've also been using and enjoying the "weightless" option! Didn't like/Took a day or two to get used to it, but now really love being able to simply see whether or not I've gone up, down or stayed the same. The phone app is beautiful in it's simplicity and is easy to use. Again, one of my favorite things about the scale and the app is that, the numbers don't lie. They don't judge. They don't have opinions..... They just give you the information. This scale and the app make it easy, even fun, to see and interpret that information. I can't say enough good things about it. Making a decision to change my lifestyle, and stick to that decision, has changed my life. This scale has been, and will continue to be, my most effective TOOL in losing and keeping the unhealthy weight off!

Stopped Working - UPDATED Great Customer Service

I loved it at first - didn't think I was going to like the need to scan the QR code into my phone but I didn't mind. However - after 5 days it stopped giving me an accurate reading. It started giving me weight that was up to 20lbs off or different than 5 min before. Sent back.

I almost never leave reviews on Amazon so it was much to my surprise that I received an email today from Weight Gurus. Because of my unfortunate experience with the scale I bought, they have sent me a new scale on them! It is the upgraded body composition version and it should arrive Saturday. I have never had such quick or amazing customer service - and certainly never thought that my review would be read and payed attention to so thoroughly. I am excited to try the Weight Gurus scale again and will update after - but I am sure my scale was just a fluke since the company is so strongly standing behind their product!! Thank you for a great experience!

Stylish and Nifty

My husband and I were looking for a small scale to keep in our bathroom. He fights professionally and has to keep track of his weight, so he knows what kind of scales suck and which ones are good. He was hesitant with such a small scale, but he has been keeping track at home and the gym and it's very accurate! I also like the chevron design, so it actually looks cute in our bathroom. The app is extremely functional and I'm excited to keep track with my new diet. It kind of makes watching your weight fun (as fun as it can be :)....
