ACTUALLY WORKS!!

I read the reviews and decided to purchase it anyway. Glad I did, It actually works as it should.
I logged on to the website, set up my account, uploaded my babies photo and signed out.
I next scanned the tag using my cell and I received an e-mail alerting me my pets ID tag had
just been scanned. I logged on to the website and viewed his location and the location was right
where he is (with me) I was able to view my street and house on the google map.
Note: You have to have GPS enabled on your cell or allow your computer to share its location

Scanner app dependent

The tag maker indicates on the tag and on their web site you need the scanner app from Platinum Pets, which for the Apple iPhone is not available in the USA iTunes Store as of this date; neither were the two alternatives their web site suggested. I tried a couple of other non-Platinum Pets scanner apps that are available for the iPhone and they wouldn't read the tag... But I did finally find a free iPhone USA app that would read the tag.... So my concern is this tag is only useful if anyone that finds your pet can EASILY use a scanner app already on their phone to read the tag.

Hello Anyone available

We got two tags for two dogs, we needed something fast. Got these in two days, husband started setting up account listed our email, phone number and address in contact info. logged off to help me pack for our trip. Then we tried going back to edit the contact page and it would not let me sign on. So I clicked forgot user name/password (2/27/14), I am still waiting on an email (3/3/14). Wrote customer service an email this morning and I still haven't heard from anyone. Don't buy these. I will give it two more days but if I don't hear from them the tags will be returned.

Rachel - E-Commerce Manager Platinum Pets, Inc. is great. She is trying to figure out my problems with the email. I now have a username and password that works and I am bumping it up to four stars. It does work, we just had some hiccups.
